      Marketing Manager Interview

      Jan 22, 2025

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at The Gleamery

      Interview

My interview experience with The Gleamery was disappointing and felt unethical. I was asked to complete an extensive 48-hour project that was highly specific to the company’s needs, with work that could easily be used internally. Although I felt unsure about the scope of the unpaid work, I still put in significant effort to demonstrate my skills and commitment. After submitting the project, I received an automated rejection email with no feedback, which felt dismissive and disrespectful of the time and energy I invested. Additionally, during my interview, the interviewer spoke negatively about the previous employee who held the role, which came across as highly unprofessional and raised concerns about the company’s culture. Overall, the process lacked fairness, transparency, and respect for candidates.
