The Ivy Group interviews FAQs
The hiring process at The Ivy Group takes an average of 28 days when considering 2 user submitted interviews across all job titles. To compare, the average duration of hiring at similar companies like BlackRock, Inc. is 14 days, Fabricated Software, Inc. is 2 days, and Apple Inc. is 21 days. Candidates applying for Marketing had the quickest hiring process (on average 28 days), whereas Marketing roles had the slowest hiring process (on average 28 days).
The HR manager was fine, but it's definitely a nepotism-based place. A wealthy retired woman bought the company and immediately hired her daughter as the head of the business. They also expect you to come in and work several hours for free as part of a "testing" process - and that's not even the final round of the interviews! I heard from other employees that the owner's daughter can be micro-managey, but also that's just gossip so take that with a grain of salt.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
They did a few hypothetical sample problems and asked how I would handle them.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at The Ivy Group in Oct 2021
Interview
Poor communication and no clarity in the process. The HR person gave me a time without proper timezone information. There was absolutely no follow-up communication or answer to my follow up. For a consulting business, this is a bad look.

Question 1
There were many questions relating to the job I was interviewing for.
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at The Ivy Group (Sudbury, ON) in Sep 2020
Interview
The initial interview was fine. The role hadn’t been defined but was willing to work with the applicant to get to an agreed upon role description. The final interview was uncomfortable as the interviewer commented on my “nice” appearance and asked “how I got so confident?”
Highly inappropriate, uncomfortable, and made the decision of not pursuing further very easy.
