I applied through other source. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at The Learning Experience in Sep 2018
Interview
director made me wait in the lobby for 45 minutes and a family next to me patiently waited 30 minutes only to be sent home. they just wanted to ask questions about their sons enrollment and the director said they were “too busy” and to “come back tomorrow”. she was making schedules behind the desk very loudly and scrambling around to find employees relieve other staff members so they could go home. her solution was to take 2 babies from the infant room and put them behind the desk in a stroller so the room would be in ratio. all of this is going on while the family and i are patiently waiting on a small bench in the lobby. then an employee comes out of her classroom with a few children and asks the director some questions while wearing a uniform shirt the has the company’s name on it and almost transparent grey leggings that are TOO small. the director then proceeds to offer me $2 less than what i am making currently yet the offer she emailed to me was listed as “competitive pay”. she gave me a tour and practically ran through the hallway pointing out the classroom names but not showing me what each classroom was like.
the interview happened last minute at the peak of pickup time for most parents so i was considerate and understood the fast paced environment BUT there is no excuse for some of the incredibly dysfunctional things that were going on.
Easy interview process. Basic Questions asked. Was a quick 5 minute interview. There was only one interview before I was offered the position. I would do the process over again
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at The Learning Experience (Vernon, CT) in Feb 2025
Interview
It was what I would expect in an interview, but with a more interpersonal connection and lots of happy conversation. I owe that to the Director - she seems like a fantastic person to be in charge of a center, and someone I'd enjoy getting to know all-around.
