It was straight forward but it didn’t really touch on what event planning was about or the role itself. The role itself was explained in a very vague way. Overall the experience was okay.

Interview
Arrived 9am for a Saturday morning interview. Turns out so did 30 other applicants for a cattle call. We were under the impression we would be there 1-2 hours max. I myself stayed 4 hours until my name was called to meet the owner for 5 minutes. During our wait, organizers sat us in a circle and asked random questions to pass the time. They themselves were nice but couldn't tell us how much longer the process would take, or update on anything. The irony of having a room full of planners and not being able to give us any time updates. A few had other obligations and had to leave. It's been about two months and have not received any type of notice of decision. I think if you have a group of individuals who spent half their day for a quick interview, the least they could do is send out decision notices as a courtesy.

Interview
Showed up at 9 Am for what was an unannounced group interview. The hiring coordinator told us that it would be a minimum of 1 hour. I was there for 4 hours and my 1 on 1 interview was 5 minutes. Terrible process and applicants were told that they do group interviews now because some applicants don’t show up to scheduled interviews. Unprofessional and clearly do not value time of applicants. Also was told in 1 on 1 interview that they were looking for more experience than was stating on Indeed. Several applicants left after a couple hours because we were under the impression that the process would last 1-2 hours.
