The MaxSoft Group interview questions

I'm writing this review to share an experience that sharply contrasts with the company's public image. While I can't speak for the entire company, be very cautious if you are considering this specific IT Systems Engineer / Administrator position. The interview process is extensive; their technical test is overly difficult to pass but the real issues are the undisclosed job requirements and the rigid management style. The role comes with a rather ridiculous on-call expectation that was never mentioned in the job description: a full month on duty, 24/7 including weekdays, weekends and public holidays. More telling, a job offer was made and then instantly rescinded after I asked for a simple flexible work arrangement starting 2 hours later and finish earlier twice a month for my daughter's recurring medical appointments. For a company with numerous "Great Place to Work" awards, this immediate rejection of a common family-friendly request was shocking and unexpected. My impression is that this particular IT department fosters a rigid, inflexible, and non-family-friendly environment. This job best suits someone with no life, no family, and no personal interests outside of work. I was very surprised, as other reviews didn't mention this, so this seems to be a standard specific to this role or department. It is also telling that other than the IT infrastructure team, everyone else can work full time permanently from home. Problems around rigidity and difficulty caring for sick kids were very briefly mentioned to me on the peer coffee interview which was a red flag already.
