I got a LinkedIn message from one of the hiring team asking me for an interview. I filled out the form, answered a few questions, and scheduled it. Immediate red flag? I could barely find this page. That's because they have since changed the name to the Tour Guy instead of The Roman Guy. I was willing to look past this and proceeded to have a very nice interview. They asked me questions about my expertise and gave me opportunities to ask about the job itself. And then, they begged me to make my second interview with the other direct report manager the very next day. I was able to do this, but was difficult to do with no notice. Second interview is much like the first and I was even warned they would probably ask very similar questions. I enjoyed speaking with the interviewer and she got me very excited about the prospect of moving forward. She said the latest I would hear back would be by Friday. This interview was on Tuesday. Here comes the disappointing part. I send a followup LinkedIn message to my original interviewer, thanking him for the interview and how much I enjoyed talking with them. And inquiring what form of communication to expect regarding their decision. I don't get a response. Friday comes and goes and I hear nothing. I give it the weekend, figure something came up. Nothing Monday or Tuesday. I find the company emails for the two I interviewed with expressing my thanks for the interview and inquiring what the timeliness would look like on hearing back. Nothing has been responded since. It's incredibly disappointing that much was demanded of me before even being offered the opportunity for the job, I met these expectations with professionalism and proceeded to continue to be excited about the job prospect. In return, I was ghosted by the hiring team.
