The interview process was remarkably discriminating. If you didn't live in Vancouver, you were going to be automatically disqualified (no matter your credentials) because they were unwilling to offer to reimburse any relocation costs. OK, no big deal. But, then it was alluded to that if I wasn't of APAC (Asian) origin / didn't 'speak the language', I wasn't going to be considered to move on to the next stage of the interview process. So, not at all shocking that they hired someone that is - gasp - Asian. Can't believe this kind of thing goes on in this day and age.
