During our college placement drive, 10 students were shortlisted for the interview. The panel asked technical questions only to the first few candidates, while the rest were asked only general HR-based questions. Surprisingly, one of the candidates who was not asked any technical questions was selected. This raises a concern about the evaluation process .if the intention was not to assess technical strength uniformly, then asking technical questions only to some students seemed unnecessary and inconsistent.
