I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Trimble (Westminster, CO) in Mar 2018
Interview
Recruiter phone screen - quick 10 min call about my recent projects and experience
HR phone screen - overall projects and experience, salary expectations, etc
Technical phone screen - was casual, the hiring manager was honest, I really connected with what they were doing, and he was timely to get back to me about next steps.
In-person interview - involved a coding challenge while sharing a laptop screen to an engineer on the otherside of the room and the engineering manager who was in India (at the time). It was focused on getting MySQL data to the C# aspx page, extra credit was to publish it to IIS. It probably wasn't their typical interview because it's usually meeting with their whole team but I felt like this coding challenge could have been done off-site. The engineer mentioned they like to setup challenges that are a little different that what I'm used to, to see how you do in a different environment. I just wish I would have known ahead of time it was purely a coding challenge, that would have changed my mindset walking in and used less time getting in the zone.

Interview
HR person was a very odd and difficult to work with. They asked for a time frame which I provided only to have them schedule something outside of that time frame. When I emailed to address the time conflict they rescheduled me twice without notice or confirmation. When I reached out to ask them about it I was treated as an inconvenience. If they were having a bad day why take it out on your candidate? I felt like I was respectful throughout the entire correspondence but treated as if I was purposely making their day more difficult.

They just repeated everything on my resume and ended the call. I assume it was a screening interview but it just felt overly hostile.
