      Direct Sales Interview

      Sep 21, 2015
      Anonymous employee
      Accepted offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at TruGreen

      Interview

Sales manager sat down with me for a chat. He wanted to know how I was at selling and if I was able to change my ways when I would meet resistance. What he told me was I was going to be given a list of prospective clients (this to me meant they were already interested in services WHICH is not the case). They actually randomly pick a neighborhood that "SHOULD/MAYBE" yield a "profit" or "richy neighborhood". You go to each door and knock and then when you work for 4 hours you go back to where you started and do it all over again. Not what I was told.
