I applied online and was contacted by a recruiter about two to three weeks later. The initial recruiter call lasted less than 15 minutes and felt like a very strong fit on both sides. Shortly afterward, the recruiter scheduled a screening interview with a senior team member.
Prior to the screening interview, I was asked to sign an NDA. The interview itself went very well, and the interviewer explicitly said that I did a very good job answering the questions. They clearly explained the next steps and told me that within about ten days I would be scheduled for an interview with the client, as the role was part of a multi-year contract.
It has now been over two months since that conversation, and I have not received any follow-up, update, or closure. Given the positive feedback, the NDA, and the clearly stated timeline, the complete lack of communication afterward felt unprofessional and disrespectful of a candidate’s time.
The interviews themselves were professional and positive, but the breakdown in communication significantly detracted from the overall experience. Even a brief status update or rejection would have been appropriate.
