I applied online. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at UBS (London, England) in Oct 2013
Interview
SHL testing process consisting of both a numerical reasoning test and a logical reasoning test.
I was then contacted a few weeks after completing these tests and called for a first round phone interview, reviewing basic competencies and technical knowledge of what is going on.
Following the phone interview then invited to an assessment centre. Email received a couple of hours after doing the interview.
AC consisted of redoing the numerical test, having to receive a certain score above a threshold. This was followed by a presentation on a company. Three interviews with Executive Directors followed this. Day finished with group exercise.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Brainteasers questions and multiplying large numbers in your head.
The process consisted of a Hirevue type interview, then superday with mix of standard technicals with more senior members of the team, had to discuss company / news I found interesting
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Standard technical questions, behavioral with more senior bankers
Applied and got an email for a HireVue. They gave 7 days to complete it. It was very straightforward and easy. Just like other HireVues and not too many questions. Not the hardest questions in the world but not the easiest. Just an average experience.
I applied through college or university. I interviewed at UBS in Sep 2025
Interview
Standard technical questions, tell me about yourself, where you see yourself in 5 years, pitch a stock, walk through a deal you’ve done, time to ask them questions. Some of the ppl can obviously look checked out so don’t take it personally.
