      The interview was relatively simple. I was invited for a sit down interview with the boss whom asked me general questions about my background. Afterwards, I got a tour of the entire lab.

      1. HR screening phone call 2. Phone interview with project manager 3. In-person interview with the hiring manager followed by a tour of the lab. 4. Offer Very straightforward and quick process. Precise interview questions made it easy to know what the interviewers were looking for.

      - Tell me about yourself. -What's your ideal work environment? - How to you handle conflict in the workplace? - Walk me through how you prioritize tasks and plan your week to maximize your productivity. - What experience do you have with the skills and techniques listed on the job description? Can you give me some examples? - What are your long-term career goals and how do you see this position helping you to reach those goals? - Can you provide references that can speak to your scientific knowledge and technical skills? - Are you planning on pursuing a PhD in the future? - Tell me about a favorite class or two you took while earning your degree and give me a brief overview of what you learned in them. - Are you comfortable with typical lab calculations such as calculating dilution schemes for buffer preparation? - Can you give me details about a time you designed an experiment that demonstrates your ability to plan and perform experiments, troubleshoot any issues, analyze the data, present your findings, and outline your next steps based on your conclusions? - What software, databases, and/or programming languages do you have experience with? Are you familiar enough with these to perform them routinely for this role without direct supervision? - Can you describe your experience(s) with writing manuscripts? Grant proposals?
