Quick and easy. They were professional and easy going. It made for an easy interview. It was a great place to work. Leadership was mostly very good even though some received promotions that a lot of people didn’t agree with.
- My experience in Human Resources

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at UChicago Medicine (Harvey, IL) in Oct 2022
Received interview through a 3rd party workforce center. Was originally scheduled for a zoom interview but ghosted. Rescheduled zoom interview but was asked to leave as another person was being interviewed. Instead received a call for a phone interview with 2 people I was not familiar with a few minutes later who seemed unprepared and pretty much felt like a send off. I took the email of one of the women interviewing me to keep in touch for addtl opps since I knew they were looking for someone with more experience for a Registry position.
- Can you tell us about yourself
- Which scan was the most difficult?
- How many scans have you completed, overall?

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at UChicago Medicine in Jul 2022
I applied and then the HR person reach out to me 2 days later. I had an virtual interview with the department manager the next day, then 3 weeks later the recruiter reach out to me to offer me the position. Everything went so smoothly
- What do you see yourself doing in the next 5 years

Standard 30 min Hr call then 30 min virtual onsite. Overall is a pretty standard process with BQ questions majorly. Not that difficult. After 3 days was told the position was filled by another candidate. Not much to ask.
- How do you mange time? Tell me how you approach a problem using an example.

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2+ months. I interviewed at UChicago Medicine
Initial screening call. Take home technical assignment: create an ER diagram and an UML diagram based on a brief description of technical requirements. Non-technical 1-on-1 with several team members (not panel). Follow up with manager to discuss the take home assignment. The last interview is just a half hour 1-on-1 with the director. No technical questions. After that they call your references. If all goes well they will call you to negotiate salary. The salary was lower than the range the recruiter gave me. The recruiter said the range was $110-120K for this position, but the initial offer was a bit lower with a sign on bonus. I was able to negotiate to $115K, which according to the HM was “the most they could do”.

I applied through college or university. I interviewed at UChicago Medicine (Chicago, IL) in May 2022
All situational questions. Even if your response was not the best in the moment how did you correct it. Don’t be to rehursed. They like you thinking over the question. You will interview w peers before manager
- Tell me how you noticed a way an institution could work better and how did you address the issue

Anonymous Interview Candidate in Chicago, IL
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at UChicago Medicine (Chicago, IL)
The interviewers asked at least 12 very specific scenario-type questions that did not apply to me because this would be my first official job. Did not really ask anything to learn about my accomplishments or what makes me unique and why they should want to hire me. At the end, when I asked them some questions, they gave short and sarcastic answers. I found the interview very unprofessional.
- Describe a time when you had to work with someone that you would not normally get along with outside of the work place and how did you handle this?

Anonymous Interview Candidate
I applied online. I interviewed at UChicago Medicine
Recruiter didn’t email or call me about interview date/time change. After the phone interview, I was completely ghosted and never heard anything. The least ANY recruiter/HR can do is give you an update whether positive or negative. It’s not that hard.
- Tell me about your background

Anonymous Interview Candidate in Chicago, IL
The process took 1 week. I interviewed at UChicago Medicine (Chicago, IL) in Mar 2022
I had an initial phone screen with the HR recruiter. A few days later I interviewed with the director. He informed me I'd move forward for second round of interviews. Never heard back from the recruiter to schedule that (I did follow up a week later with no response).
