I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Uncommon Schools (New York, NY) in Jul 2017
Interview
Appropriate length and rigor. First there’s a Phone Screening that covers general interest and applicant background. If you make it to the next round you’ll be invited to an in person on-site (at a school location) interview that includes a live work sample in the same room at the same time as other applicants. There were a few different work sample activities to complete over a significant amount of time on a laptop that resembled activities you would actually complete on the job. Then you had 2 interviews with different types of leadership.

Interview
Video interview. You are sent a link by a recruiter and have about two days. You take it by yourself and send it in, someone 'asks' you the questions on the other end.

Discuss a project or event you recently led and what systems you used to manage it.
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Uncommon Schools in Apr 2019
Interview
Pre recorded video interview that gave set amount of times to read/listen to the question, time to think, and time to respond. Overall it was a very structured process but I thought it was a little impersonal for a school position because I believe you should be able to show your personality more.
I applied online. I interviewed at Uncommon Schools (Brooklyn, NY) in Oct 2018
Interview
There was an initial screening interview, preset recorded questions to which you recorded your answers. This was similar to a phone interview. Then there was an in person interview where 4 or 5 other candidates were also brought in, but no aspect was a group interview. During the in person interview, 4 tasks were to be completed (write a letter to parents, an excel task, project management plan, etc.) and two 1 on 1 interviews were held. Overall, the interview took about 6 hours. The recruiter was kind, but the overall process was disorganized.
