      Research Associate Interview

      Jan 19, 2013
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      Hyderābād
      No offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through college or university. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Unilever (Hyderābād) in Jan 2013

      Interview

there was a presentation given by a research scientist about the job opportunities and the work of research associate followed by a technical test. the technical test was a pretty simple one stressing mostly on 4 courses: Mass transfer, heat transfer , kinetic reactor design and fluid mechanics. shortlisted candidates went for the interview round where we were asked questions on our favorite subject and also on our projects. it was a pretty decent one and quite a friendly interaction. shortlisted candidates were asked to come to bangalore for final round of interview and that was mostly related on our projects and on why do we want to go into research without a PhD degree.

      Question 1

at times they try to grill you on your favorite subject as well as your weakest subject. the best way to answer is answering them by giving examples and case studies related to their work. this becomes difficult sometimes.

      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 months. I interviewed at Unilever (London, England) in Jun 2018

      Interview

Two telephone interviews, with a final face to face interview. This was a seamless process, however the only down side was the length of time it took overall. However the wait was worthwhile.

      Interview

Good very supportive, 5 people panel, very structured and honest approach. They genuinely want to hire good candidates and wiling to go the extra mile for that. Very good experience. They are not there to show that they are better than you but interested in you and what you know.

      Application

I applied through college or university. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Unilever

      Interview

Hindustan Unilever came to our university to hire Interns. For Chemical Engineering (3 rd Year) They had a CV shortlisting which was then followed by a Group Discussion (Case Study), and then they had two rounds of interview. The Interviewers were Technical Heads as I had applied for the R&D Position.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

Various technical Questions were asked, which were very trivial and only aim was to test the way the person thinks, that is to judge the thought process of the person. Other than that the questions were pretty normal HR type.
