I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Unity (Montreal, QC) in Feb 2019
Interview
The whole process was rather long, but it was very smooth overall. Very transparent and helpful to make sure you are engaged throughout the process.
Applied online and received an email from the technical recruiter after 3 weeks, regarding setting up a time to talk about the position as well as my past experience over the phone.
Then there was an Excel skill testing assignment that I were to complete in 40 minutes, which was not very difficult.
After a week, I had a video interview with the manager technical background questions and behavioral questions were asked.
After another week, I was invited for an on-site interview to meet with the manager, lead and the recruiter. I was given a relatively challenging question (or it was more like a brainstorming session) about potential business opportunities. They asked a lot of behavioral questions which gave me an impression that they really want to hire someone that fits in well with the company cultures and values.
After a few days, I had 3 video interviews lined up to meet with 5 different seniors, managers and directors in SF office. There were some technical questions (SQL and critical thinking) and I was able to get a better understanding of the department as well as the overall company.
After another 2 weeks, I received an offer.
Everyone was inviting and easy to talk to, which made the 1+ month long interview process bearable. They were open about sharing their experiences working at Unity, so it was a great learning as well.
