The interview process involved multiple stages, including a virtual interview and an onsite interview. From the beginning of the process, I was transparent about requiring a work permit sponsorship as a non-EU citizen. I specifically discussed this with the recruiter before the first interview and was assured that this information had been shared with the hiring manager.
Despite this, I was invited to continue through the full recruitment process, including an onsite interview for which I took two days of vacation from my current job. After investing significant time and effort, I received a rejection with no meaningful explanation. I followed up professionally to request feedback and clarification, particularly regarding whether my work permit status had influenced the decision, but I never received a response.
If work authorization was a concern, this should have been addressed much earlier in the process. The lack of transparency and failure to provide feedback after multiple interview stages made the experience frustrating and left me feeling that my time was not respected.
