I worked at VF full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great group of people, benefits, product discount, fun office parties/events

    Cons

Need to upgrade technology, spend way to much time doing redundant or slow work because of systems. Company needs to have better communication and more team building activities. Not everyone is on the same page.

    Advice to Management

People don't leave companies because of bad jobs, they leave companies because of bad management. HR needs to listen to employees and actually resolve problems. It is hard to advance within the organization when you don't get any feedback why a position wasn't offered or what you can work on to improve for the next time.

I have been working at VF full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Friendly work environment. Opportunities to move up or across to different brands/depts as jobs open. Occasional fun "team building" activities. Great discounts. Occasional opportunities to travel, depending on the dept you're in & if it's "in the budget" for that year.

    Cons

Computer system issues are frequent. Hard to get parent company to approve additional positions, so at busy times it can get hard to keep up. Might be a good thing if you like overtime. Not as much if you're a mom who wants to get home to her kids. You end up having to choose to stay on top of things at work & lose time at home; or leave at youre scheduled time but fall behind at work.

I have been working at VF full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Many positions become available throughout the year which is great for fashion students.

Flexible hours for those who are still in school.

There is upward mobility for those who wish to climb the corporate ladder and gain industry connections.

    Relaxed environment with great benefits.

    Cons

Interns can't work more than 28 hours per week.
