    Recommends

I worked at VF full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

    1) Good benefits (401K 1 to 1 match) and generous vacation days (I had 20) compared with other retail companies. 2) Though working at a smaller brand in VF, I still had access to first-class databases, digital marketing and ecommerce vendors. Also a lot of cross-brand learning experiences. 4) Inclusive and fostering company culture 5) Company values sustainability 6) Good work life balance 7) Enjoyed employee discounts

    Cons

Constant uncertainties during my 3 years at VF, including brand portfolio restructure and company reallocation, due to rapid changes in business environment, resulting in lay-offs.

I worked at VF full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Will meet some of the best people in the outdoor industry. The potential for incredible culture is ripe for the taking and needs the right leadership to promote and drive.

    Cons

Culture within the organization varies greatly by department. Based on personal experience, roles can feel restrictive with very little interest in innovation or introducing new practices. Leadership in department would be described as insipid and insecure.

    Pros

Started as an Analyst and moved up to Director. Great place to learn a lot of different roles if you are willing to move and are willing to ask.

    Cons

On the technology side they are not the best. A lot of old school folks who have been there for a while and they don't know how to hire the best people when it comes to technology skills.

    Disapproves of CEO

I worked at VF full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

There’s a lot of friendly, passionate, purpose-driven people who work in the brands.

    Cons

VF operates in an old school style with leadership that is out of touch with employees and customers. Questions and innovation are not valued. There’s empty talk of diversity and inclusion, but little support for the big changes that need to made.
