I worked at VF full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Flexible work in certain departments. I learned a lot about working in a large dysfunctional company. Humbling.

    Cons

My department was “clicky” if you weren’t a certain level or had the support of certain leaders you did the work but were given little recognition or support for it.

    Advice to Management

Get know what is really going on deep in the organization and how unclear and unfair some practices are. Post all jobs and create REAL opportunity for consideration. The appearance of what is happening is unfair and discriminatory.

I have been working at VF full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

This place is a good place to work and the people there are nice and helpful.

    Cons

Sometimes there might need to be more people to work at certain areas that are busier than other areas

    Advice to Management

There are people in different areas that might need some more help real quick then switch sides after work is done

I have been working at VF full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Global company with many first rate brands, bright, hard-working employees, with a wealth of knowledge. Culture of promotions from within. Work hard, play hard culture (depending on your team/brand). Growth opportunities can be great, if you work hard and put yourself in the right position. Current leadership is really reshaping the business. It will be interesting to look ahead a few years at the future of VF.

    Cons

There can be a degree of nepotism, in some areas of the organization, however, there are always people who are willing to meet with you and help you make connections to other areas.

    Advice to Management

Continue to grow deliberately. Continue to make your stance on public policy known.

I have been working at VF full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Great Brands, Great Locations, Established Vision, Strategy . Would love to work here for the remainder of career if only clear organizational roles.

    Cons

Execution of Strategy and Vision, Anxiety about new it / digital org., splits between VF and Jeans business. Worried employees.

    Advice to Management

Never easy, but really need to get closer to the associate base. Hearing of overall stress and anxiety among all levels of employees. Tough decisions, but communicate and stay close, early and often.
