I have been working at VF full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

I have been here over 20 years and, for the most part, I really enjoy the people I work with. The employee discounts we get on brands is also a great benefit. Pay is very good for this area.

    Cons

No career path/career planning. Leaders often operate in a vacuum and without transparency. Old-fashioned attitudes toward remote working. We have been undergoing "organizational transformation" for well over one year with very little to show for it. It's exhausting and creates a tremendous amount of tension.

    Advice to Management

    Finish what you start.

I have been working at VF full-time

    Pros

Great Benefits. Great Company. Lots of room for growth within the company. Great business model.

    Cons

Currently in the transition of breaking off from VF and becoming our own company (Wrangler, Lee, Rock and Republic). -- I think it's a great thing. But the con is that their seems to be articles online that are misleading the public.

I have been working at VF full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

The Pros is that when I decided to go forward in my academic degree, I asked directly the HR personnel, so I got some money to pay my tuition a year. It is not a lot, but it helped me to cover at least one class out of three that I usually take, the other two, plus textbook, food, and gas come from my own pocket.

    Cons

working for about six years in the quality department it seems that instead of the department goes up, it is going down with new manager. Efforts and loyalty is not appreciated, also slacking and dishonesty is permissive for some member, but the severe disciplinary action is practice for those that give their blood, sweat, and tears. Very unfair and inefficient behavior from the manager at the time to make a serious decision at the time of held accountable the one to deserve disciplinary action. Also, a sad way to demoralize the department, where no one wants to work for her, from other departments. Very sad isn't? The reason why I am looking for a better work environment and sensible manager.

    Advice to Management

As a student of Business Management, I have learned through my professors and seminars that a manager needs to be a great leader who motivates their peers to growth, instead to demotivate them. Moreover, a great leader most identified the talent of their teamwork member and don't try to measure everybody with the same ruler. Reward those loyal and valuable employees, at the end of the day with that type of employees makes easy management job because they will do an exceptional performance, compares with the slackers and unresponsible ones, don't you think.

I worked at VF full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

    Benefits, discounts, flexible work schedule

    Cons

Lack of communication, management, opportunities for growth

    Advice to Management

Jobs are created by management in order to promote favorites without offering opportunities to the rest of the team. Hours and work schedules are altered without warning and associates are told to “step up or you can leave.” Communication is at a minimum and employees are penalized by asking questions when things aren’t clear. Upper management and Human Resources needs to take a look at what managers are allowed to get away with.

I worked at VF (More than 5 years)

    Pros

The people and the discount. I made a lot of lifelong friends working for the company and the discount was much higher than any other company I’ve seen.

    Cons

High turnover rate and favoritism definitely plays a role
