I applied through college or university. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Verizon (Lake Mary, FL) in Nov 2013
Interview
Had a quick 30-minute phone interview, then invited to an on-site in Lake Mary, FL. Typical interview questions, nothing out of the ordinary. They acted pretty cheap with the interviewing process, since they didn't reimburse me for gas mileage. Overall I was overqualified for the position, but I decided that I would still consider them.
I applied through college or university. I interviewed at Verizon in Sep 2016
Interview
Very simple process. They have you do a Montage video interview which just involved ~5 basic questions (why do want to work for Verizon? Why are you qualified for this job? Tell me about yourself, etc.). They then follow up with a short phone interview, which is basically just confirming your resume and asking if you have any other offers.
Afterwards, it's an in-person interview, but I am still waiting to hear back.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Verizon (Lake Mary, FL) in Feb 2015
Interview
They conducted a "Super day" to interview several entry level candidates. There were two 30 minute interviews with two separate department managers, and a tour of the building. I was there for a total of an hour and a half. There was a campus recruiter on site to ensure that everyone was where they needed to be.
