Responded to interview questions online, performing well enough to progress to the interview stage. Kudos to Human Resources for attempting to eliminate bias from the hiring process. Nevertheless, the CEO seemed determined to reintroduce it into the process. During the actual interview, the CEO immediately expressed negative opinions, mentioning within the first minutes how he disliked the city where I lived and doubting I had a hands-on work ethic, despite extensive experience, listed in my resume, in "roll up my sleeves" roles. Maybe the interaction explains why HR had initially attempted to eliminate bias from the process? The CEO did not focus on discussing any business-related issues or inquire about how I might approach solving potential challenges. Instead, the CEO's comments seemed to revolve around personal preferences and biases. This further emphasizes the impression that his decision-making process may have been influenced by non-business factors. As a result, I communicated that you I was not interested in continuing with the interviews. I have at least give credit to the hiring manager for attempting to reduce bias in their process.

I had two interviews for a position at Wild One in 2022. Both interviews went exceptionally well and I was given a timeline (2 weeks) for when I would hear back about potential next steps. Three weeks later I followed up with no response. Whether or not they wanted to move forward it left a bad taste in my mouth to spend two hours talking to their team just to be ghosted altogether. The interviews themselves were fun and interesting with some unique questions about relevant situations and experience.
