After an introduction of the (location) managerial staff & a few HR staff...we immediately went into an ice breaker game split and divided by the individuals you are seated with at your table. (You'll notice the staff rotating around taking notes and observing participation, involvement, team work, social skills, etc)
--short 10-15 min break--
Next was a power point presentation by staff about Virgin America, employee benefits, virgin america products, pay rate, vacation time/sick time, scheduling, growth opportunity, what to expect if hired...just a ton of information. It kind of makes you feel as though you're already hired...
BUT....YOURE NOT (lol) That bubble gets popped right away as everyone is dismissed from the hall to wait outside, and wait to have your name called in one at time to be interviewed by one of the managers. So...in essence, people are called in by how ever many managers are there, at a time.
The One on One interview is very relaxed. Up until this point, the only notes the managers have about you are what's written on your resume, and their observations of your participation in the earlier "ice breaker" game...so THIS is your time to add your own personal touch.
tips: have a bite to eat before the beginning of the interview - participate - be a team player -
sidenote: I'm still in the middle of the hiring process, and will come back later to report if I got the job :)
