The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Volvo Group (Brisbane)
Interview
Pretty standard with a phone screen with the recruiter and a face to face thereafter. The phone interview was basically a formality. The in person interview was nothing out of the ordinary. Standard behavioral questions with special interest in any research that I had done on the company, which was a good thing. Very pleasant interactions with nice people. The problem is that there was literally zero feedback till I received an auto generated email which said that my resume was reviewed and in this instance I'm not successful - basically a standard resume rejection email. Poor practice on part of the recruitment team as I would expect at least a phone call with reasons why I was not successful in the interview.
Terrible interview process. They asked me some really useless and embarrassing questions. Too many interviews (four in total) with too many assessments. The interviewers were not professional at all. Would never recommend this company to anyone. Besides that, they also asked me some generic questions that did not relate to the job at all.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
I was asked if I would be able to make it to the office early in the morning and if I would be moving to Belgium to support my family (why would a person ask such a question during a job interview)
I interviewed at Volvo Group (Gothenburg, Västra Götaland)
Interview
It was a very practical interview, focused on designing and critical evaluation of a task at hand rather than theoretical questions around algorithms and data structures. Also they looked into testing knowledge if you are testing what you implement as a practice
I applied online. I interviewed at Volvo Group (Greensboro, NC)
Interview
Two interviewers, very friendly and relaxed environment. Asked me about what I know about the company and several typical behavioral questions. Heard back results within the next week. Felt more like a conversation rather than an interview which I liked.
