I had a few nice conversations with the CEO. He seemed like a smart, passionate, personable guy. He asked good questions--very careful & inquisitive.
Unfortunately the other interviewers wreaked of incompetence, and the lead recruiter was downright dishonest--she lied to me and was so incredibly manipulative.
I received a written offer, but things began to smell weird, and the recruiter was acting very shady--I had suddenly caught her in several lies on the phone. I confronted her on that call; she imploded and sent me a rejection letter immediately upon hanging up. I've never seen anything like that.
I wasn't upset--I was relieved to have dodged a bullet.
Message to the CEO: Look into your recruiters. As a salesperson, the first career lesson you learn is that lying always comes back to bite you, so just don't do it.
