Thorough and responsive. Very nice and welcoming. All about their students and student needs. Knew the interview assignment beforehand. Told me a lot about wake tech and the history. Loved the diversity in students and majors.
- Where do you see yourself in the future? What helps you work with students?

The Wake Tech interview process (for an adjunct professor role) was quite slow and the communications around it were not too speedy. The questions were all what you would expect; nothing too unusual.
- They asked about previous teaching experiences.

I applied online. I interviewed at Wake Technical Community College (Raleigh, NC) in Feb 2021
You would complete and submit an Admissions Application, attach Resume, cover letter, & references. If selected then you would be contacted for phone interview. If you make it through this process then you will be contacted to come in (or virtual) for a interview with a panel / committee and will need to create a presentation. The panel interview process was intimidating as each person asked a different interview question and rated you. It went smoothly unless they asked more than one question at a time. Due to nerves it’s hard to stay focused and answer one question let alone remember the other two if asked all at once.
- Best three qualities? Are you detailed orientated and if so give an Example? What would your current supervisor say about you!

There was one phone interview and one panel video interview, then there were reference checks and a background check, before I received the offer and started the salary negotiation process.
- How would you handle unmotivated students?

I interviewed at Wake Technical Community College
Wasn't too bad. Had an interview, lab activity and written portion. Lab activity involved them showing you a demonstration and then you followed them. The written portion was a 'what makes a good team'

I applied online. I interviewed at Wake Technical Community College (Raleigh, NC)
Short phone interview, followed by an interview at the school (with a quick <5 min sample lecture) Follow up with HR within a week to fill out forms and such. Whole process would take about 2 - 3 weeks.
- How do you deal with difficult situations? How would you go about technology usage in classroom?

Anonymous Interview Candidate in Raleigh, NC
I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Wake Technical Community College (Raleigh, NC) in Aug 2017
After filling the application, I was contacted to schedule an over the phone interview. This must have gone well, because I was then invited for a face-to-face interview. I was told I needed to prepare a 15 minute lecture on one of a few pre-selected topics. At interview, I sat at a desk at the front of the room were I answered questions given by four reviewers. After the questions were asked, I had to give a lecture on my selected topic. Amazingly, the one of the reviewers began to yawn as soon as I began and another started checking messages on their phone. In hindsight, I realize these actions were premeditated. Finally, I was sent to a separate room to complete an essay. The essay was on how I would give constructive feedback to an instructor in whose class I had observed students not actively engaged in the learning process.
- How would you teach an online lab?
