There was an initial phone call with one member of the team. We discussed the role and how I might fit into it. There wasn't a super clear definition of the job duties, but they let me know quite a bit about the role. The second interview was another phone call with another member of the team. This member went more into specifics of the role, and the digital side of things.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at White Hat (London, England) in Feb 2020
Interview
I had a phone screen for the interview and then attended 2 in person interviews.
Both were conducted in the style of a client meeting , where you were expected to both answer questions and ask questions. Both interviewers were quite intense and mentioned that they understood that they could come across as confrontational but that this was just their style.
They follow a clear style and criteria which is explained during the initial phone screening.
I received clear and helpful feedback after the first interview, however again it was shared in an intense manner - I was emailed with feedback and then asked what did I need to know before my next interview while also being admonished for not already asking the questions that they expected I would ask.
However probably my most negative impression of the process was that after the 2nd in person interview (and after a process that included a phone screen and 2 in person interviews) I then never received an email follow up or feedback. Having already had a pretty negative experience, I saw this as a sign that it wasn't a company I wanted to work for so never followed up, but I do think it was pretty disrespectful.
I appreciate I probably wasn't the right cultural fit, but I still feel it could have been handled better.
