I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at William Hill (Burton upon Trent, England) in Mar 2017
Interview
Very quick and easy process. I applied and did their online tests in one day. Next day I received an email asking what day and time I would like a telephone interview. I scheduled that for a little less than a week.
The telephone consisted questions of availability, being eligible to work in the U.K, the usual basic things that lasted about 10 minutes. I was then invited to a face to face interview during the telephone interview. I received an email confirming date and time. The interview date was a week after the telephone interview.
The face to face interview was easy, and I very much recommend you prepare for this! I was interviewed by 2 very nice members of management that made me feel very comfortable. You must take your ID with you or you are refused the job there and then. They tell you a bit about the job and what to expect. They ask a series of competency based questions. I will definitely say this: I do not have the first clue about betting, and they really didn't mind this. So long as you have a great knowledge of customer service and you can prove this, they'll be happy.
Within an hour I received a phone call offering me the job. Great experience all round.
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at William Hill (Leeds, England) in Jun 2022
Interview
Sat down with a hiring manager, she explained the training process, hours available etc. etc. And just had a general chit chat getting to know me.
Then moved onto the competency based questions which were easy enough but make sure you prepare yourself with examples beforehand as this really helps answering them.
She said she was really impressed and usually makes people wait for an answer but she knew I was the right candidate and offered me the job there and then.

I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at William Hill (London, England) in Apr 2018
Interview
Online application form with online questions. Telephone interview with simple math questions. Face to Face interview with Area Manager, general interview questions. The process felt reasonably relaxed, however a little disorganized.
I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at William Hill (Edinburgh, Scotland) in Jan 2018
Interview
Waited for a long while in shop. 1 person interviewed me whilst another person wrote down what I was saying and occasionally interjected with questions. The process felt reasonably relaxed, however a little disorganised.
