Wimmer Financial interview questions

The interview process was simple, meet everyone in the office and answer questions, prolonging the whole process. However I learned that the Junior Analyst position is unpaid with a possibility of becoming an analyst and then I can earn a salary. Bear in mind that this is central London and near impossible to work for free in one of the most expensive cities in the world to live in. I was immediately disheartened to hear that the role was unpaid and there is no guarantee that you will get a position. The laws state that it is illegal to work for free if you are adding value to your employer, which in this case you would be. You would be doing research, deal sourcing and financial modelling. The website is outdated and was told they mainly do real estate financing. It seems like a interesting opportunity but I can't think of anyone who has student debts to work for free with a possibilty of not getting a salary after a probationary period. My fears were to slave for months only to be let go for a random excuse meaning all your hard work has gone to waste. Yes it would be good to have on your CV but if your employer searches wimmer financial, I'm sure they would be scratching their heads. They have awards which are genuine and the team is nice including the CEO, however the big factor is not being paid and expected to work for the company with no promise of a paid role upon completion of a probationary period.

It's a scam. Per Wimmer. Won't even tell you the details of the job he will give you. The worst experience. And a terrible office. You wouldn't expect that at Mayfair. He invites you to an interview. Two to be precise. For an Unpaid 6 months so called 'Investment Banking Analyst' internship. If you succeed he promises to give you a role. It is all fake. And you should be aware of such negative company practises. He is exploiting raw talent. And once done. Disposes them. This should not be happening at all. Unfortunately still does in UK. Yes he has met high profile people. However, his practises are exploiting labour to say the least. People like him is why corruption exists. Terrible employer.
