The CMO/Co-Founder reached out to me via Linkedin asking to set up a time to chat. When I showed up to the call he started looking for my resume and then realized he didn't have it (because he messaged me and only asked me if I had time to chat). He then asked where I was located. When I answered, he responded "I thought you were based in New York". I told him that I was open to opportunities in multiple locations because relocating is not a problem. He still seemed to lose interest in conducting the interview. Asked a question out of obligation and then said "Well its a shame you can't meet in person. Good luck" and hung up. If location is that important and relocation is not acceptable, it would be best to confirm that before reaching out to a candidate and scheduling a call.
The disorganization and disrespect with which the confusion was handled left me with serious doubts about both their general processes and overall competency.
