I applied online. I interviewed at Workplace Injury Commission (Melbourne) in Jun 2024
Interview
I was received a text message and call to arrange an interview and explained they were looking at interviewing the next day on Thursday. As it was short notice I asked if it was possible to interview on Friday or Monday. The talent partner said it was important to them to be flexible with candidates and would confirm asap. They were then unresponsive to my calls, messages and emails. The following week they replied and said the positions were filled and asked if I wanted them to keep my details in case one of the successful candidates didn’t work out. Unprofessional and waste of time. Indication of how they operate.
I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Workplace Injury Commission (Melbourne) in Jul 2025
Interview
Really terrible process from the candidate perspective. Drawn out process going for months with weeks between interview steps. Four rounds of interviews. No position description. Lack of clarity around what they were looking for. It was a moving feast. Seemed like they were looking for a unicorn in a haystack...just how many behavioural panel interviews are required for a role? Misleading communication from the Talent Acquisition area about interview format. Feedback was extremely poor if they bothered to provide any. This process was the worst I have had in years.
