The interview process at Writer is extraordinary, deeply technical, and exceptionally organized. It consists of 5 distinct rounds that thoroughly evaluate both cultural fit and deep core engineering principles:Recruiter Screen (30 mins): A friendly introduction to the company culture, logistics, and role expectations.Hiring Manager Round (30 mins): A deep dive into background, past AI/engineering project experiences, and high-level technical alignment.Technical Round / Live Coding (1 hour): The highlight of the process. Rather than solving abstract algorithmic puzzles, this is a highly collaborative, real-world engineering test. You are given a GitHub repository, which you pull to your local environment to run, debug, and build upon.Peer-to-Peer Team Round (1 hour): An engaging session working directly with potential team members to evaluate day-to-day collaboration, communication, and engineering synergy.CTO Round (30 mins): A final high-level discussion focused on vision, future AI trends, and structural alignment.The entire pipeline moves smoothly, and every single employee I interacted with was incredibly polite, professional, respectful, and helpful.
