I completed three rounds of interviews and felt my background aligned well with the requirements of the role. The process was positive until my conversation with the Managing Director of Investor Relations.
What surprised me was that the discussion focused almost entirely on questioning my career moves rather than exploring my accomplishments, skills, or the value I could bring to the role. The interview felt narrowly focused and did not allow for a meaningful discussion of my experience.
I left the conversation with the impression that my perspective and contributions were being dismissed rather than evaluated holistically. While every interviewer has a different style, the experience raised concerns about leadership approach and opportunities for professional growth within the team.
Based on my experience, I would not recommend pursuing this opportunity.
