Question 1
What area of our practice here most interests you?
Friendly, more to get to know you type, very technical questions, would encourage everyone to apply as it is good experience for interviews. There are a few rounds of interviews and you get to meet many ppl.
The interview process was comprehensive and designed to evaluate both technical skills and cultural fit. It began with a written test that assessed legal knowledge and attention to detail.
In the second round, I was interviewed by two associates who focused on my experience, legal reasoning, and how I approached real-world legal challenges. They asked questions about my past work, how I handle pressure, and scenarios requiring client management. The conversation was engaging and allowed for a deeper dive into the day-to-day work of the firm.
The third round was particularly insightful. I met with two partners who were warm and inviting. They spent considerable time getting to know me, both professionally and personally. Rather than a traditional interview, it felt more like an open discussion. They encouraged me to ask questions about the firm’s vision, culture, and operations. This part of the process allowed me to learn about the firm’s strategic direction and values from those leading it.
The overall process was not just about assessing my skills but also ensuring that both sides felt there was an alignment in values and goals. I left the interview with a clearer understanding about the firm and a sense of being welcomed into a supportive environment.
