You have to take two exams a Math and a Teaching exam, the Math exam is hard but you can pass it if you know Math, in any case I feel that the teaching exam is harder because the questions are a little bit more ambiguous.

Interviewing here was one of the worst decisions I made during my job search. Had an initial phone screen and in-person interview about a month ago, both of which I was told went very well (was told by the guy in charge of hiring that the entire team loved me). Couple weeks after, he calls and tells me that I'm their second pick, as their top candidate had just rejected their offer; however, he now has cold feet and wants to put me through a mock phone call, which I was told went really well given it was my first time encountering the material. I was even asked a question I was unable to answer, because he forgot to include it in the script he provided me with. He calls me the day after, telling me that the team is still unsure about me, and that I need to come back in for a second interview (preferably the very next day) for them to decide (in my opinion, his tone showed total disregard for the time, energy and money I invested already in the process, as well as for stringing me along). I politely declined the interview, as I was no longer interested, and received a response which, in my opinion, was rather insulting. An excerpt from a Glassdoor article for employers: "Eliminate any unnecessary steps or meetings, and make an offer as quickly as possible. Remember, if you string candidates along and treat them poorly, they will likely share this experience on sites like Glassdoor, so communicate transparently and frequently."

One needs to attend a subject test and a teaching exam before getting eligible for the interview. Once they clear all these three stages of the recruitment process, based on the performance, an applicant will be considered as a trainee tutor.
- When I joined, they asked about my tutoring experience.
