Interview
I completed an initial recruiter screening followed by a subsequent interview, both of which I felt went well. During the recruiter screen, a significant portion of the conversation was spent on the recruiter discussing his own experience and relationships with senior leadership, as well as mentioning that he had interviewed “thousands” of candidates to build the current team.
The follow-up interview also went well from my perspective, and I left feeling confident in my performance. However, at no point was there clear communication regarding next steps, timelines, or how candidate status would be tracked.
After the interviews, communication stopped entirely and I was ghosted. Overall, the experience lacked organization and transparency. Clearer communication and closure for candidates would greatly improve the interview process.

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Yurts in Apr 2025
Interview
The interview process was efficient and team was welcoming. The process took about two weeks with a recruiter, hiring manager and 7 additional interviews but was ultimately a no.
After making that much time for the team I would have appreciated any feedback but just received a super generic email from the recruiter and then ghosted. This seems like a theme for this "senior" recruiter given the other reviews.

Question 1
What is a mistake you've made as a manager and how did you address it?
I interviewed for Yurts in April 2025. The recruiter was friendly, and the team seemed great, although they had me talk to about 7 people, some of which didn't seem relevant to the position (internal politicing?) The recruiter even told me they were considering an offer and would call me at 12 to discuss it. At 12:05, he said - give me a couple minutes. And I never heard from him again... ghosted.
