Content Marketing Manager - Ophthalmology Products Interview

      Mar 17, 2026
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at ZEISS Group in Mar 2026

      Interview

My experience with Zeiss was disappointing and felt disorganized throughout the process. I initially applied for the same position two months earlier and received an automated rejection email that appeared poorly formatted (it even included placeholder text like “insert line”), which didn’t reflect well on their communication standards. When I applied again for the Ophthalmology Products role, I progressed further and was invited to share my availability for an initial interview. After providing my availability, I didn’t receive a response until I followed up myself. Eventually, I was scheduled with a recruiter. The conversation itself was polite and extended beyond the planned 30 minutes to nearly an hour, which gave the impression of mutual interest. However, after the interview, there was no follow-up. I had to reach out again, only to receive an immediate automated rejection email with no feedback. Overall, the process felt inconsistent and lacking in transparency, leaving the impression of limited coordination and unclear hiring intent. The general impression is that they'd rather hire an immigrant than a white woman with strong portfolio, education and experience.
