      Senior Software Engineer Interview

      Jan 20, 2026
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      Bengaluru
      No offer
      Positive experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at ZoomInfo (Bengaluru) in Dec 2025

      Interview

The interview process was a great experience overall, with an excellent panel that made the discussion both engaging and insightful. I learned a lot through the conversations, which were well-structured and thought-provoking. The panel was extremely supportive, professional, and encouraging throughout, creating a comfortable environment to share ideas and explore problem-solving approaches. It was a valuable learning experience and a positive interaction from start to finish.

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 days. I interviewed at ZoomInfo in Dec 2025

      Interview

Not a Fair Interview for Senior Role The screening round was disappointing. My interviewer was an sde1/2, and it was clear he wasn’t comfortable evaluating someone with more experience. Even after answering nearly all questions correctly and writing correct code, I was rejected without any meaningful explanation. The process felt biased and poorly structured, with no clarity on what the interviewer was looking for. Senior roles should not be filtered by someone who doesn’t have the experience or confidence to assess them. Overall, the interview felt unfair and poorly designed.

      Waltham, MA
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at ZoomInfo (Waltham, MA)

      Interview

Had to complete a rapid-fire behavioral and IQ-style assessment. The platform they used would give you between 15 and 45 seconds to answer a brainteaser, then immediately go onto the next one. For my coding challenge, I had to answer 2 leetcode-style questions. The proctor for the challenge pushed me to do the challenge in a language of his choice (because it was one of several languages I included on my resume which I have experience with). I had been doing my leetcode prep in Python, so this very much threw me off guard. I was able to complete both problems in time but I wasn't selected to move forward, likely because I was struggling on syntax.
