The phone screen was pretty basic, lots of questions about my experience and a short summary of the duties of the role. The interviewer was about 10 minutes late to our 15 minute call, and was not descriptive about what the role was really about (new business, account management or both?). The interviewer also wasn’t very personable and did not sound happy to be interviewing me, which could be the case but as a sales person myself with 7 ish years of experience it came across as slightly unprofessional and obvious. She mentioned to me that I had a strong background and I sounded like a good fit for the role so she would be passing me on to the next round to meet 3 AM’s on the team. She collected times from me that would work, and let me know she would reach back out to confirm. 3 business days later, after not hearing a peep from her, I got an automated message saying that my application was not chosen to be considered. Not sure what really happened, but I’m a current AM and have done every type of sales there is, so I do feel I’m qualified. More than that, though, being told I’m moving on and even spending time collecting availability only to be rejected by an automated system is very unprofessional to me period. A personal email would have been much better. All in all took up my time for a very impersonal company and recruiting process. I have a job so it’s okay, but in a very difficult job market and a demoralizing job application environment…ZoomInfo treats you like a number which is not appreciated.
