The hiring manager was late 45 minutes to the interview. During the interview process, the manager boasted about firing other people and replacing the staff. I thought she was very unprofessional, almost as if they weren't serious about this job. The job description was very vague and accounted for approximately 25% of a full-time position. I explained to the manager that the job wasn't a good fit for me and thought it was over. A week later, I received a verbal offer despite telling her I wasn't interested. So I entertained the idea of looking at their benefits packages. The benefits package that was sent me said "unlimited vacation" and they were offering me less. When I had asked about this, they rescinded the job offer. When I called their HR department to see if they could offer closure on what happened, the HR gave me a complete different answer than what the recruiter told me. These discrepancies and communication issues were critical to my decision. I had asked myself if I would have wanted to work for a company that is already showing red flags about not only management, but also communication and it didn't take long to process. Dodged a bullet on this one.
