I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at alliantgroup, LP (Houston, TX) in Jun 2015
Interview
Called in for normal interview. They don't describe the position much because they figure that as long as you have a degree that they can teach you everything you need to know. Didn't get the position because I was not a "cultural fit". Then I was called back months later and was one of the top picks to be hired... interesting.
Pretty straight forward process. Mainly 2 rounds will be as a part of the process. The both rounds are mix of HR and technical questions mixed. A descent preparation is enough to crack.
I applied through college or university. I interviewed at alliantgroup, LP
Interview
Asked about company objective, 179D taxation process and about the resume.
Also brush up company's core values and basic job description of an energy modeler , go through the job description really well
the recruiters were kind, and the process was throrough. i recommend preparing a lot for questions. they ask you a lot about your background and why you are interested in the role, they expect some level of technical questions even if you’re not from the same background
