It's in person interview, introduced me to the team and workers in the company. Asked questions if I'm familiar with Autocad and if I'm comfortable working at a desk for 8 hours
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at eLumen (Minneapolis, MN) in Jan 2023
Interview
3 rounds of interviews: 1: virtual with the manager 2: peer interview --I stopped here. 3: CFO/CEO interview The main interview (peer interview) they are looking for someone to fit their group or team. I understand that. It was great for the manager was really open about her past and willing to give people who may not have the direct experience a change. I think honestly it was the peer interview that was flawed and they didn't have the same frame of mind as the manager.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
The 1st round with the manager the main question was "why do you want to work with eLumen?" and then she just gave an overview of the position, what would make someone successful, and what would make someone not successful in the position. This part was great because it was more conversational based and overall I just rapport over our shared experience. In the peer interview it had a lot of questions like "have you had experience with adobe products, instructional design products like storyline, canva, etc?". They also asked "if a client isn't happy or don't understand the product they have, how would you approach the situation?", "experience with video work, editing, and voice over?".

Interview
BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY AND THEIR HIRING PROCESS. After applying, I was reached out to about setting up a first touch interview. I scheduled an interview and it took 3 business days for a reply to even officially scheduled the interview. The interview day comes and less than 15 minutes before my interview, I get a notification that the interview was canceled. A few minutes later I was sent an email notifying me that I was no longer being considered for the position because they only want candidates from a certain state now.
