Interview
I interviewed for what was advertised as a senior role with a salary range of £30,000–£40,000. I applied expecting a professional senior-level discussion. Instead, the interview was overwhelming with excessive questioning upfront. When salary expectations were finally discussed, they were unwilling to pay the higher end, offering only £30,000. Being told this role was strictly full-time at that low end is frankly insulting for a senior position. If you only plan to pay at the lowest level, be upfront in your job posting. It’s disrespectful to seek an experienced professional but offer a wage that doesn’t match the expertise. Overall, a waste of time, misleading expectations and undervaluing talent.

In house head of talent acquisition sought me out for interview via LinkedIn. We had a conversation and he said he was impressed and would put me forward for interview.
Despite our positive call, and following up a few times, nearly 3 weeks later and their head of talent has ghosteded me.
I see this is a common complaint.
It is somewhat ironic that I should receive such poor service and communication when broken feedback loops, lack of good customer conversations and disinterest in customer opinions when leaving was their chief complaint of the outgoing head of customer service.
