I applied through a job site for this role, and was contacted by HR. We set up a time for a virtual interview which I confirmed immediately. No one showed up within the entire half hour I kept the window open on Zoom and I heard nothing about rescheduling or that someone might be running late. I received no explanation or any form of follow-up after reaching out. If a candidate was completely absent for an interview without any notice, you probably wouldn’t hire them, so I’m not sure why this is acceptable behavior on behalf of a company. Sending an email or text message is easy and instantaneous, but as a potential candidate I was not even worth that. Inconsiderate and a total waste of time.
