They gave me a phone interview where they only asked personal and professional questions, but they didn’t provide much technical information about the position, the team, or what my role would be. Afterwards, they sent me a home task with three different exercises and less than a week’s deadline. After seeing that I hadn’t received a response in 15 days, I sent an email to ask about the status of my application. The next day they replied saying I had not been selected, without giving any kind of technical explanation or real feedback on my exercise. I believe that if a candidate takes the time and effort to complete an assignment that follows a strict brief, they should at least receive real feedback explaining why their work wasn’t selected. They only replied because I insisted on knowing the status of my application — otherwise, they probably wouldn’t have responded at all.
