      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at ng-voice (Hamburg) in Apr 2026

      Interview

Especially if you're looking for cheap contractor labor from South Asia, this startup might suit you. But if you're seeking solid career growth and professionalism in the telecom/cloud industry, don’t waste your time here because it will take 2 months at fastest. Just take a look at their employees on LinkedIn and you’ll understand the company culture immediately. The hiring process took more than two months. They were actually the ones who initially contacted me. After the recruiter interview, I went through a technical interview and was then given a 3-day case study. It wasn’t extremely difficult, but it was definitely time-consuming. To stand out, I didn’t just complete the assignment, I also prepared a demo, a presentation, and a detailed technical report. I even designed a web interface for it. The case study presentation went very well, and they moved me to the next stage. The Hiring Manager explicitly told me that the team was impressed and wanted me on board. After that, I had a chat with the VP. During the technical interview, a senior engineer had mentioned a specific stack to me, so I asked the VP about it. He claimed I had misunderstood and that such a thing didn’t exist. That was my first sign of poor internal communication within the company and the attitude was rude. One week after that chat, I sent a follow-up email and was told there were still ongoing interviews with other candidates. Eventually, after more than two months since the first interview, I received a generic rejection email saying: “Unfortunately, the position has been closed.” Excuse me, what? Didn’t you properly plan your budget or define your team’s hiring needs? This is a clear sign of poor coordination between PMs and Hiring Managers. What really frustrated me was not the rejection itself cause I would completely understand if they had simply found a better candidate. But making candidates spend days on case studies and dragging the process on for weeks for a position that apparently might not even open is incredibly disrespectful. It honestly feels like all my time and effort were wasted. Still, I’m also glad I won’t be working at such an irresponsible and unprofessional start-up. If I had read the Glassdoor reviews beforehand, I would never have agreed to proceed with the process.
