Interviews themselves were unnecessarily long but it was good to be able to meet members of the team. Had about three rounds of interviews. First with the CFO who was a bit of a knob, then the CEO who seems uninterested, and then an interview with three other members of the team in a panel. They said I was shortisted to the final two and then received radio silence for weeks. I reached out for an update and the CFO replied ‘This process has gone on a lot longer than I had hoped at the outset. Is there a good number I can call you on to give you an update?’ Only to then not call me or email me ever again.
Looks like I dodged a bullet!
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at xUnlocked (London, England) in Mar 2024
Interview
After applying, I was contacted initially by the Chief Revenue Officer, who thought my experience was impressive, and wanted me to answer some additional questions, such as why I wanted to work for xUnlocked.
I was then invited to a 15 minute call with the COO/CFO, which was frankly unfriendly and quite jarring.
I then had no response for over a week. I emailed to ask whether there was any news/feedback, and within 30 minutes I received a copy/paste generic response to say I hadn't got through to the next round.
I've been in a few great interview processes recently, but this wasn't one of them. I feel I may have dodged a bullet.
