Operations Manager – Jacksonville Honda Plastic Repair

Reporting To: KOAM / Senior Management
pay $60,000-$65,000 depending on experience. Will be on a 90 day probation period.
Position Overview
The Operations Manager – Jacksonville Honda Plastic Repair is responsible for overseeing and operating the onsite Honda plastic repair facility at the highest level of efficiency, quality, and profitability. This role ensures all Honda plastic repairs, reworks, and modifications meet OEM quality standards while maintaining strict adherence to safety, production schedules, and Honda plant requirements.
The Operations Manager serves as the primary point of contact between KOAM and Honda team members and is responsible for maintaining strong communication, operational excellence, and customer satisfaction.
Duties & Responsibilities
Customer & Honda Relations
- Serve as the 1st point of contact for Honda team members.
- Maintain daily communication with Honda production leadership.
- Resolve customer complaints and quality concerns immediately.
- Follow through on all discussed action items and report back to Honda and management.
- Coordinate overtime scheduling with Honda leadership and KOAM management.
- Ensure timely invoicing and accurate reporting of completed work.
- Maintain strong working relationship with Perry Perkins and Honda contacts.
Production & Quality Control
- Assign employees to specific repair and production tasks.
- Oversee all repair work to ensure completion meets Honda quality standards.
- Ensure plastic repairs, rework, modifications, and refinishing are performed correctly and on time.
- Implement and enforce quality-control programs.
- Monitor production output and adjust manpower and schedules as needed.
- Manage scrap work and rework to minimize waste and improve efficiency.
- Apply 5S and Lean Manufacturing principles within the repair area.
- Conduct regular inspections of workstations, tools, and repair areas.
- Ensure base carts and materials are properly controlled, including off-site cart management.
Safety & Compliance
- Ensure OSHA safety guidelines are strictly followed.
- Maintain OSHA 10 Certification (required).
- Enforce PPE compliance and safety standards.
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and audit-ready.
- Conduct safety walkthroughs and corrective action as needed.
Manpower & HR Coordination
- Coordinate manpower planning per Honda production requirements.
- Work with HR/Admin on staffing levels and employee issues.
- Hold employees accountable to performance and attendance standards.
- Review employee performance regularly.
- Identify training needs and skill gaps.
- Ensure employees have proper tools and equipment.
- Escalate HR matters to Head HR as necessary.
Inventory & Facility Oversight
- Monitor inventory levels of repair materials and supplies.
- Ensure proper tracking and storage of parts and plastic components.
- Maintain accurate repair logs and documentation.
- Ensure building, tools, and equipment are maintained in good working condition.
- Maintain clean and safe warehouse/repair environment.
- Conduct and lead production meetings.
Administrative & System Responsibilities
- Maintain and update Monday.com system for tracking production and tasks.
- Track KPIs related to production output, quality metrics, scrap/rework rates, attendance, and overtime.
- Submit accurate and timely operational reports to management.
- Assist management in implementing company policies and procedures.
