We’re expanding our team and looking for a Manager Marketing Operations based in Southern California. This is a key tactical execution role responsible for delivering high-quality, on-time, and on-budget experiential marketing programs. Reporting to the VP Marketing, this position focuses on translating brand experience strategies into flawless day-to-day execution across multi-vertical client programs (campaigns, digital integrations, incentive programs, hybrid activations, sales enablement tools, etc.).
This role emphasizes strong project management (utilizing Monday.com), cross-functional coordination, client communication, operational excellence, and solid foundation in marketing strategy. While highly collaborative with leadership, the Manager operates as an individual contributor without direct reports, focusing on hands-on delivery and supporting the team in execution and driving operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Project & Program Execution – 60%
- Lead end-to-end project management for assigned client programs, including building and maintaining detailed timelines, budgets, resource plans, deliverables, and risk management.
- Manage day-to-day client deliverables, asset coordination, version control, approval processes, and status reporting.
- Ensure seamless cross-functional collaboration with A/V, creative design, graphic design, video production, social/digital, and other internal teams.
- Serve as the primary operational point of contact for clients on assigned accounts/programs.
- Able to quickly identify potential issues before they happen, misalignment with strategy, scope creep, and ability to problem solve.
- Track progress, proactively surface issues, and implement solutions to keep projects on track.
Operational Coordination & Delivery – 20%
- Partner closely with the Senior Manager, Marketing Operations on workload balancing, prioritization, and execution support.
- Execute operational tasks with precision while maintaining strong alignment with the strategic vision set by the Director of Brand Experience and Senior Brand Experience Managers.
- Facilitate internal status meetings, client update calls, and cross-team alignment sessions.
- Support on-site event production and logistics as required for assigned programs.
Process Support & Continuous Improvement – 10%
- Utilize and help refine standardized templates, workflows, and project management best practices.
- Contribute ideas for operational improvements and efficiency gains.
- Support the onboarding and rotational development of Marketing Associates by providing guidance on project tasks and best practices.
Sales & Strategy Support – 10%
- Provide accurate timelines, resource estimates, and operational feasibility input during proposal development and scoping.
- Participate in internal proposal reviews and pitch preparation as needed.
- Capture post-project learnings and feed operational insights back to strategy leads.
Education, Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, Project Management, or related field.
- 3-5+ years of experience in marketing operations, project management, or experiential/event marketing in an agency or client-services environment.
- Demonstrated success managing complex, multi-channel programs with multiple stakeholders.
- Proficiency with project management platforms (Asana, Monday.com, Smartsheet, etc.) and collaboration tools.
- proficiency preferable.
- PMP or similar certification is a plus.
