Description Hi! We're Monroe.
Founded in 1933 in the Bronx, we achieved university status in 2024, a wonderful milestone that reflects our broad academic offerings and our unwavering commitment to helping students change their lives through education.
Our faculty and staff are the cornerstone of our success. We take great pride in our student-centric culture that puts their best interests at the fore of everything we do.
As such, we have three unwavering cultural values:
-- dedication and service to our students; -- a warm, supportive, and collegial family-oriented environment for our faculty and staff; and -- a commitment to achieving the best outcomes in the country for low-income urban students.
Monroe is an institution where people go home at the end of the day knowing they are making a difference. The work you would do as a member of the Monroe family would have meaning and impact. We must admit, it's a pretty great feeling -- and one of the reasons so many who come to work at Monroe STAY at Monroe.
