The Children’s Institute is an independent, nonprofit, licensed organization, dedicated to improving the quality of life for children, young people, and their families by providing a specialized continuum of services that enables them to reach their potential. Today, our programs are nationally-recognized. Since 1902, The Children’s Institute has improved the quality of life for amazing kids and families by providing access to expert resources and care. Today, many of our services are available both in-person and via telehealth. We offer Early Intervention Services, Physical Health Services (PT, OT, SLT), Behavioral Health Services, Autism Services (ABA), and Family Support Services. We also offer Educational Services. The Day School is an approved private school licensed by the Pennsylvania Bureau of Private Academic Schools and approved as a special education school by the Pennsylvania Department of Education. Families and school districts alike have connected with our expert educational team to bring specialized education and related services, including autism support and multiple disabilities support, to nearly 200 students from 60+ school districts across western Pennsylvania each year.
